Sub Team 2: ICT

Our client is ICT Authority, which was established by the government in 2013. It is a merger of several IT related agencies and boards that existed over the years.

ICT wants to transform government processes, services, management to make information access and service delivery a lot more efficient. They want to take the country to a digital future and raise the national competitiveness in line with the Kenya Vision 2030 goals.

The intent of this project is to develop a government-wide enterprise architecture that will give guidance for investments and take all stakeholders like ministries, departments, agencies and programmes into account.
Goals:
  • better utilisation of increasingly complex and costly systems
  • respond fast to the needs of the citizens
  • close linkage of technology, government and citizens

The CSC team will review the existing infrastructure, processes and services as well as collect requirements for an overall enterprise architecture from all stakeholders. Our goal is to develop a model for an IT architecture that can be applied to all levels of the government system. In addition we want to develop a roadmap about how to perform the transition from the current to the future state of ICT in Kenya.
