Getting into Nairobi and settling down

We arrived 'afya bora' ('safely and well' in Swahili) from our respective countries into Nairobi, Kenya on 29Aug/Friday. Well continuing the pattern of 'we had nothing to worry about', we had members from DOT (Digital Opportunity Trust) receiving us at the airport.

We were escorted like VIPs into the Riverside Pearls apartments which was to become our accommodation for the next one month. Well I am impressed by the space and the amenities we have at our disposal in our individual apartments.

We have arrangements for our meals at the common dining area, a common gym, swimming pool, our laundry taken care of (thrice a week), canned mineral water supply in our individual apartments, room service/cleaning is meticulous and on a daily basis and we have Sharon (from DOT) who streamlines all our logistics (from-to our offices for work, outings/parties/etc.). A special mention for Muriuki and Sharon from DOT for effortlessly settling down. Sharon is truly an angel and a great human being - she became a good friend to us all in almost no time :-)

Everyone is friendly and really left no stone unturned to make us feel welcome!

We were comfortable and settled down well to begin our Kenyan experience and accomplish what we came here for :-)
