Further acclimatizing, a wonderful day trip and a sumptuous dinner party

On 30Aug/Sat, members of the (dare I say) K9 (spelt 'canine') team went out on this morning trip around Nairobi visiting the Elephant Orphanage and a safari walk in Nairobi National Park. My teammates (Mark Bolter from the US, Hiromi Kawatsu from Japan) and I (Suman Mukherjee from India) comprising the AMREF sub-team missed it since we had a meeting scheduled - although we vicariously experienced this trip from the pictures :-)

Later that night, DOT threw a lavish dinner party and Muriuki (from DOT) ensured that we introduced ourselves (along with what we liked, how we came to know about Kenya, how does it feel to be here, etc.) in a language other than English. Humor took center-stage and suddenly the 14 IBMers from different geographies and backgrounds knew much more about each other :-)
(As an FYI - DOT is the in-country partner of IBM to help select suitable CSC projects and assist in settling us down and making our stay a memorable one - well they are spot-on so far!)
